Surprise Surprise!

AFP/Duke's Auctioneer

A man in London had a cup put away in an old shoe box under his bed for years before he decided to see what it was worth. To his surprise, the cup he had always thought was made of brass, turned out to be an ancient Persian vessel beaten out of a single sheet of gold in the 3rd or 4th century before Christ. It is now being auctioned off at Duke's in London for 500,000 pounds (US$600K-980K).
